Delivery delays to international shipments during the COVID 19 pandemic.

Due to COVID-19 there are major disruptions to global international trade and especially air freight services with exceptionally long delays in delivery.

International postal services have been severely affected and as a result orders shipped as early as April 2020 are yet to be delivered in many destination countries. These packages are not lost, they are simply caught up in the global postal system backlog. These delays are beyond our control. Orders already shipped will arrive however we cannot guarantee as to when.

Because of these disruptions and the uncertainty as to when normal postal services will resume effective 14th May 2020 we will not be accepting or shipping orders until there is more certainty that goods will be delivered in a timely manner.

We advise all customers to consult with their medical professional for advice on locally available alternative treatment options.

On 12th May 2020 Australia Post provided the following information in relation to International Postal services.

For those sending or waiting on international parcels, please be aware that there are significant delays to many destinations due to limited flights and government restrictions. Impacts to the United States of America, New Zealand, Germany and France are significant with severe delays being experienced. Where airline capacity does become available, we continue to prioritise Express Parcels. A number of destinations also have full service suspensions where we are unable to move parcels due to airport closures or major delivery issues.

We understand that these international and local impacts are frustrating, but our posties, delivery drivers, Post Office team members and contact centre staff are doing their best, so please show them a little understanding.

United States of America - Auspost update.

There are flight disruptions and cancellations impacting all inbound and outbound items to USA.

We expect delays to USA of up to 5-7 weeks due to flight cancellations and government restrictions because of COVID-19. Express items will be given priority over Standard items during this time.

Australia Post has suspended its Economy Services for parcels effective 3 April and until further notice. Economy Services for letters will continue. Australia Post is working closely with partner airlines and postal operators to move items as quickly possible.
